In 1964, the year Malawi became an independent nation, Agason Motors opened for business. What began as an automotive parts supplier in a newly independent country with a small vehicle fleet and limited industrial infrastructure has, over 60 years, grown into one of Malawi's most comprehensive engineering businesses — a company that supplies parts, runs a multi-discipline workshop, manufactures machinery, and provides the precision engineering services that Malawian industry depends on.

What We Do

Automotive Parts Supply

We supply genuine automotive parts for the full range of vehicles operating in Malawi — cars, trucks, buses, minibuses, agricultural vehicles, and commercial equipment. Engine components, suspension parts, brake components, filters, batteries, service items. Our supplier relationships, built over 60 years, provide parts authenticity and availability that newer entrants to the market cannot match.

Workshop and Engineering Services

Our workshop covers: precision engineering (engine reboring, crankshaft grinding, cylinder head skimming, lathe machining), diesel fuel injection repair and rebuilding, generator servicing, water pump rebuilding, engine repair, welding and fabrication, brake and clutch bonding, and painting and bodywork. This is not a general repair shop — it is a multi-discipline engineering facility with decades of accumulated expertise.

CNC Plasma Cutting and Fabrication

Our fabrication facility includes CNC plasma cutting capability for precision metalwork, custom component production, and structural fabrication to engineering standards.

Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing

We manufacture and assemble agricultural machinery including maize mills, groundnut processing equipment, and agricultural fabrications — locally made, locally serviceable, suited to Malawian farming conditions.

Power and Water Equipment

We supply diesel generators, water pumps, and diesel engines for the backup power and water supply requirements of Malawian businesses, farms, and institutions.
